Bittman: Eat better, eat more plants

Mark Bittman of The New York Times recently wrote about eating better as a new year’s resolution, suggesting that for many of us this boils down to the simple mandate to “eat more plants.”

To help us achieve that goal, he — with some help from a photographer, “food and prop stylists,” and some uncredited web wizards — provides 10 recipes in form of a lovely slideshow. A few that caught my eye are sweet-potato stew, bean burgers, and saffron-mushroom risotto. If we make any of these, I’ll report back on how they turn out.
