A few days ago, Terry Gross of NPR’s Fresh Air interviewed Tom Philpott about industrial meat production. Philpott is a food and agriculture reporter at Mother Jones who’s written about everything from bees to Mad Cow disease. Philpott and Gross discuss pink slime and meat glue (gross, indeed), the use of antibiotics in factory farming, and what Philpott learned from watching the chickens on his farm.
The interview is very informative and well worth a listen. For the full audio and a text overview of the program, head here.
